Sustainable Prosperity (SP) convened 25 senior Canadian economists, academics, business executives, environmental group leaders, and research directors from think tanks to explore key issues related to the mix of carbon pricing instruments (carbon tax, cap and trade, or a mix thereof) and to seek common ground on an effective carbon pricing approach for Canada.

The discussion, which took place over one and a half days, was not confined by the direction of policies currently in place or under development, but focused on the ideal mix of pricing instruments for the future.
